The XX Anniversary of Bal Moderne took place in 2013 in the Théâtre National de Chaillot, where it had originally been hosted in 1993 as a pioneering project: the first, in its own, inimitable way, that brought the obsolete notion of collective dancing back into fashion. The choreographies presented during the three day festivities included evergreens from the ’90s to brand new dances created specially for the Bal Moderne by the now generation of contemporary dance makers.
